Unity Empire:
Northern Westeros
In Northern Westeros we enhance our roleplay through the use of the Unity Empire system! This system allows everyone to have a fully immersive roleplaying experience!
There are many classes you can choose from within the Unity Hud, we've created a list that will help you understand how they fit within the Northern Westeros roleplay.
We have outlined the possible role play sub-categories that would fit under each Unity Class Generic Heading.
NOTE: in Game of Thrones/Westeros there is a Role known as MAESTER. If this interests you, then you should look at either Priest or Healer Classes below to satisfy the Unity Class choices for this RP role, depending on what type of Maester you wish to be.
King -
This Role in our sim is limited the King of the North. This role is currently filled and as such no other applicant can use this class at this time. Please consult an ADMIN.
Queen -
Tied to the King in our rp sim via marriage or rp relative as a member of their Royal House. Acts with the King in
matters of ruler ship and is a Regent acting in the King's stead in the absence of the King. Please consult an ADMIN
Prince -
One of the royal sons of one of the King or one that is named a Prince through marriage to a Princess. Ask an ADMIN about available membership in one of our Royal Houses before choosing this Unity Class as
this is also a limited role class choice.
Princess -
One of the royal daughters of one of the King or one that is named a Princess through marriage to a Prince (see above). Ask an ADMIN about available membership in one of our Royal Houses before choosing this Unity Class as this is also a limited role class choice.
Lord -
If you do not otherwise choose to be a specialized combat class in Unity such as a Ranger, Knight, Cavalier, Warrior, Rogue, etc
or other class within the noble societal structure, and you are a member of one of the Noble Houses of the sim, then you choose this Unity Class.
Other various specialized RP roles can enhance your RP as a Unity Class Lord by becoming a King's Justice, or a Hand of the King, a member of one of the Kings' Advisory Small Councils, etc.
Lady -
If you do not otherwise choose to be a specialized combat class in Unity such as a Ranger, Knight, Cavalier, Warrior, Rogue, etc
or other class within the noble societal structure, and you are a member of one of the Noble Houses of the sim, then you choose this Unity Class.
Other various specialized RP roles can enhance your RP as a Unity Class Lady by becoming a member of one of the King's Advisory Small Councils, Ambassador, etc.
Knight -
A Highly specialized class that requires ADMIN approval of your application to justify how it is you will become a Knight in RP. Most will have to train to become a Knight by first choosing the Unity Squire Class (see Below).
If you are from the North, then there is another class below you should be considering as an equivalent to Knight, as the North does not have Knights. For more information speak to an ADMIN and they will direct you to the right people in the sims for this path, do NOT assume you can just choose this class and proceed in RP without consulting an ADMIN.
Ranger -
Wardens and Guardians of the Wild, the Forests, the Frontiers, and the Farmlands outside of the cities and towns. The smallfolk (peasantry) often rely on the Ranger for safety and security as their first line of defense against Rogues (see below) and Thieves (see below). A Ranger is a skilled Archer and Melee combatant who wears light armor (leather or hide) for stealth and maneuverability. They are the hunters and quartermasters(survival skills to make camp) in times of war for war camps to feed the army and are their eyes and ears in the wild as advance Scouts and messengers. They act as a de facto law enforcement in the wild countryside where the Guards and Kings Justice are the law within more civilized areas. Rangers must earn their rank and as such begin as the Class of Scout (see below) much the same as Squires are the trainee class before earning the title of Knight, the Scout is the Trainee class before earning the title of Ranger. Do NOT assume you can just choose this class and proceed in RP without consulting an ADMIN.
Cavalier -
A skilled and trained Mounted Warrior. Usually a skilled Lancer. Also skilled in melee combat. For all intents and purposes a Cavalier is a Man at Arms with the same military skills as a Knight, but is not a Knight in name or Title. This would be the class that Lancers of the North would choose after finishing their training as a "Squire" Class (see Below). Warriors (see below) who show aptitude for mounted combat may wish to evolve their Role Play in time and seek the path to becoming either a Cavalier/Lancer or a Knight (see Above).
The North does not have Knights, as such this class would be the choice that is the North's equivalent to a Knight Class in Unity. For more information speak to an ADMIN and they will direct you to the right people in the sims for this path, do NOT assume you can just choose this class and proceed in RP without consulting an ADMIN.
Warrior -
The classic fighter, combatant, solider, ruffian. In the King's Army this Warrior can in RP terms specialize in certain areas of combat expertise.
**Sub Categories in RP for Warrior for our Sims:
1. Archer/Yeoman: A Warrior may be a skilled Archer and as such, though they chose Warrior as their Unity Class, their Role in RP terms is that of a Marksman and Archer in the Army.
2. Footman/Soldier: Skilled in melee combat, the front line fighters who enter the fray of battle on foot. Skilled in all manner of melee weapons such as sword, mace, axe, polearm, etc. In times of war a Footman could also further
specialize as a Siege Weapon Engineer and operate catapults, etc.
3.Mounted Cavalry:
Trained to fight from horseback. They support the Knights and Lancers/Cavaliers in the area of Cavalry in the army. Warriors who desire to advance their RP to become Lancers of the North, or Knights, speak to an ADMIN or an established Lancer of the North and they will direct you to change your class to Squire (Man/Woman at Arms) so you can further train to become an elite Mounted Calvary as a Lancer/Cavalier in the North.
Guard-
Defenders and protectors of towns, villages, cities, castles, bodyguards to nobles and royalty, law keepers and keepers of peace Justice and Order within settlements, they work closely with the King's Justice in
enforcing matters of law and also apprehending and arresting criminals within the limits of city and town and
village districts. If you want to do law enforcement and order in the frontier lands, then seek out the Ranger Class.
Rogue-
The classic role of being skilled in sleight of hand, trickery, espionage, stealth, and other skills of a lawless nature. Skilled in either ranged weapons such as crossbows and bows or in melee weapons such as daggers short swords or longsword. If you want to be a character that lives by your wits, and has little use for laws, then this is a class for
you. Be aware though that lawless activity does have consequences in RP if you get caught so be prepared to role play the consequences of breaking the law. But maybe your smooth talking/fast talking can get you out of a jam. A Rogue could also be legally employed by a King as a Spy.
Sub categories of Rogue for RP:
Spy
Pirate
Bandit
Highwayman (Highwaywoman)
Assassin -
Hired hit-men/women, and killers. Usually employed to ply their trade in secret by feuding nobles or royalty looking to take out some perceived threat, or simply someone with a grudge that desires to see one of their fellows murdered in a discreet, possibly untraceable, fashion. An Assassin might be called upon by a high ranking official to commit the dirty deed of taking out a threat to the Kingdom, in secret, with discretion. So don't draw attention to yourself! Be prepared that if you are caught the one who hired you for the job will likely deny everything and you are on your own to deal with the legal consequences. Assassin is a risky, but profitable, profession. Note: We will NOT be accepting Essos Faceless Men for RP as assassins as there is too much risk for them to be god modded or overpowered characters unbalancing the RP on sim in unreasonable ways.
Scout -
The recruit/training status for one who desires to become a Ranger. Anyone who has never RP'd a ranger before will likely be recommended to take this class first and learn the trade of Ranger from an experienced Ranger. A Scout must earn their stripes to be named a Ranger, just as a Squire must earn their spurs to become a Knight. Speak to a Ranger Commander or an ADMIN.

Squire must earn their stripes to become a Knight.
A Note about Cavaliers/Lancers of the North:
You will also take this Squire Class if you seek to train to become a Lancer/Cavalier of the North rather than a Knight of the Riverlands. You will not be called a Squire in RP, but the class serves the same purpose and function. In your RP Titler you would be known as a 'Man/Woman at Arms' or a 'Cavalier/Lancer Hopeful' . You would be a servant/apprentice in training to an Established Cavalier/Lancer of the North.
Priest / Priestess -
One who is a spokesperson for the Gods and their sacred teachings. Be it a Priest of the Old Gods of the Forest in the North, a Priest of the Drowned God of the Iron Isles, or a Priest of the Sept and the Seven Gods of the Southern Kingdoms of Westeros such as Riverlands. or a surgeon/physician who can treat grievous wounds, or perhaps a midwife who aides in birthing, or
treating mothers post partum, or someone skilled in healing the mind from its traumas, if these are the types
of things you desire to do in your role play, this is the Unity Class for you.
A note about MAESTERS: A sub-class for this Unity Class is Maester, for those who want to RP a Maester in Game of Thrones who specializes in alchemy and the sciences and healing, and other mysteries of the mind and body, you choose Healer as a Unity Class but put 'Maester' in your RP HUD titler.

Your loyalty is to whomever is willing to pay for your services, you are your own master and your fighting skills go to the highest bidder or to whomever suits your fancy at any given time, just don't forget the pay is an incentive.

A trickster, a con artist, a charlatan, or just a straight up robber/thief as the Class denotes. You make your living on the black market selling the wares you steal or earning coin through your devious acts of trickery and exploitation/manipulation. You are skilled in slight of hand and stealth and perhaps pickpocketing or bank robbery or forging documents or be a tomb raider/grave robber. You might be hired by a noble to steal an important document from a rival, or steal an item of importance that will ruin their influence or reputation. Your trade is not a legal one and there is RP consequences for breaking the law if you get caught. But maybe your smooth talking/fast talking can get you out of a jam. You may even be part of a criminal underworld and an organized Thieves Guild. (Also, see Rogue, above).
